Dolmabahçe Palace – Beşiktaş Dolmabahçe Palace was built in 1856. The palace, which was built at the request of Sultan Abdülmecit for a European palace, ranks third among the places in Istanbul in terms of size. Abdülmecit live only 5 years in the palace, which was large enough to contain 285 rooms, 26 halls and 68 toilets.
In addition to the beauties of Dolmabahçe Palace, it also has an emotional side. This place is the place where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, died on November 10, 1938. You can visit the room in the palace where Atatürk died and see his personal belongings. Visitors are accepted every day except Mondays. Visiting hours are between 10.00 – 17.30 on weekdays and 10.30 – 17.30 on weekends.
